three.

My best buddy turned 3 last week! We planned a fun day for him, hopefully to make him feel as loved and special as he is.

He woke up to a donut cake for breakfast and streamers and balloons galore.
I was made aware the day before that he expected party hats and those "blower things."
I may have had to make an extra trip to the store so as not to disappoint!

Next came presents! I had the idea to make (for Joe to make...) a huge sandbox for his birthday.
He obviously knew about the sandbox going in but we had all sorts of fun sand tools and toys for him to open that morning. Spoiled. I know.

Hayes and Dad spent most of the morning out there setting it up and playing.

After that, we headed over to Kangaroo Zoo for some fun on the bouncy toys with cousins!

Next up was the movies with Dad!
Not sure they got a big enough popcorn....

While Dad and Hayes were gone, Cohen and I did a little cake making and party prep.
Party time!!
I forced myself to keep Hayes's party simple and just have family over for
cake and ice cream this year :)
Good decision.
Birthday Boy!!
Present excitement.

Such a fun day celebrating our little guy.
Happy Birthday Hazers!
Another year older and another year you've brightened our home.
We love you so much!

Day 3 of Our Mini Vacation

Our last day in St. George was spent at this cute park they have on Main Street.  There is a fun splash pad, a Children's Museum, and a cute carousel. We thought we'd get in as much fun in as we could and wear the boys out for the ride home that afternoon.

This was earlier at the condo but I had to make sure I got that big smile on here!
He was excited.. before the ride started..
Soon after, he was telling me to get him off haha.

Children's Museum.

Dad teaching Hayes the ropes.
(For anyone that doesn't know, Joe grew up on a farm:))
Splash pad fun!

Dad and Cohen relaxing in the shade.
Thanks for the good time St. George!

Sunny Day in St. George

That Monday was so nice and warm, we spent most of our day outside. We found a cute park in the morning to play at.

After the park, Joe took Hayes golfing while Cohen and I had us a little shopping date.

Lucky Momma!

Hayes LOVED golfing with Daddy.
Two best buds!

Later, the boys had nap time and then we were right back outside for some fun in the pool!

Livin' the good life :)

Such a fun day and we were all pretty exhausted by the end of it. We got some dinner and watched, "Horton Hears a Who," with the boys. We slept good that night!

i love to see the temple

About a week ago, we took a little vacation to St. George to soak up some sun.  The weather around here keeps teasing us with warm weather one day and freezing cold the next.  Plus, sometimes you just need a break from the every day routine, ya know?  We left Sunday morning and our first stop when we got there was the pretty temple grounds.  Give Hayes some warm weather and grass to run on and he is content.

Just taking some road trip selfies.  Cohen wasn't that into it....

Boys and bugs...

Hayes managed to capture this lovely photo on Joe's phone.

"Swing me, Daddy!"
This kid is a crack up.
More pics to come of our fun in sunny St. George! :)
