Mmm

Feeling so much better this week! I baked homemade bread today and I must say it turned out amazing... Yes I took a picture of my bread. I'm kind of proud of it.

Woe Is Me

I'd mostly like to dedicate this post to complaining so if you were thinking about reading it, you probably don't really want to- this is really for my benefit.

List of Complaints

1. I want my voice back- I lost it on Friday night and it keeps getting worse. It's just frustrating not being able to talk. Plus I think it's easier for Joe to pretend he didn't hear me.

2. I want to sleep. For some reason my illness peaks at night and my body refuses to sleep through it. I've been getting about 3-5 hours of sleep the last few nights and that is just not enough. I miss my Nyquil- I will never take it for granted again.

3. I haven't been able to walk on my treadmill since Monday. I always feel so much better after an hour walking with my little weights on the treadmill and I've been feeling so sick and weak that I haven't gotten that boost at all. Ugh.

4. I feel like I've been some sort of sick for a year now! On top of my strep throat/not being able to breathe, I've been getting morning sickness AGAIN- yuck.

5. I don't think I've stopped complaining all week... lucky husband... and today is Joe's birthday! Ahh I'm the worst.  Since I was up at 5 a.m. I figured the least I could do was make him a big breakfast in bed.  Immediately followed by throwing up in the bathroom because cooking the bacon got to me... No Sunday breakfast for me :( But he told me it was delicious, and I'm thinkin it probably was due to I'm a pretty good breakfast maker :)

On a lighter note, I've got to say how sweet my husband is and came up with the idea to have a "sick party" with me.  Last night I took a bath and came out to our big blow up mattress set up in the living room with tons of blankets and pillows all laid out to watch our movies.  Also, a nice cup of hot cocoa for my throat, my bottle of ice water, a bunch of cough drops, and a roll of toilet paper set to the side. How cute is that? haha. Love my husband!

FAIL

My plan today was to use a bunch of old t-shirts to sew these little baby hats... Well I made this one and I just don't think it's very cute.... So I quit haha. It literally only took like 10 minutes but it's just not floatin' my boat.. At least I tried right?!

(The model you see here is some rolled up batting- maybe it would be cuter on a baby... but probably not.)

31 Weeks

I can't believe I'm almost 8 months pregnant! Hayes is going to be here in no time! I'm getting to the point where it's starting to be uncomfortable doing everyday things. Sleeping is just not what it once was- just to turn from one side to the other is more work than I'd like. Joe got me a big comfy body pillow as part of my Valentine's present- best present ever! My walk is probably starting to look like a waddle, I may be a little off balance (whether that is new with pregnancy I can't really say) and even my big t-shirts are fitting rather snug... The joys of pregnancy. Thank goodness for heating pads and my own personal masseur (Joe). Here's a 31 week baby bump picture. I'd like to introduce you to my yoga pants here- they are my new best friend.
This is Joe at 31 weeks as well :) Apparently, even if I continue to get huge he gets to stay nice and fit. Figures... I tried to convince him to gain weight with me so we could lose it together after I have the baby, but I guess that didn't sound like the best idea to him. I can't even imagine how my belly can get any bigger but Hayes isn't done growing yet!

Nursery

Here's the nursery! Homemade by my mom and I! Mostly by mom... There's some lettering I want to put on the wall but we're probably moving soon so I didn't put it up yet.

Burp Cloths

I decided to try my hand at an easy burp cloth pattern I found.  Nothing amazing but I think they turned out pretty cute!

This bottom one I just sewed on some left over material from the crib bumper onto a plain white burp rag I had.
TA DA!
