Smarty Pants

Joe passed his series 7 licensing test this week!
He's been studying for it for about 6 weeks and all his hard work payed off!
Good job love! I got myself the whole package here folks.
Sunday best- handsome boys
I just had to add this picture. He is the cutest all dressed up.
In less exciting news- I got glasses.
I guess I'm getting old!
My eyes and head had been hurting a lot and I wasn't seeing as clear as I once had.
I finally went to the eye doctor and had to get me some spectacles.
I secretly always wanted glasses.... I don't know why?
Sometimes I'd wear my fake $10 glasses to school at BYU so I'd feel smarter. haha.
If I remember correctly, I think I may have even purposely failed a vision test in elementary school because I wanted glasses...
Anyway, I just have to wear them for up close stuff.
(reading, doing computer stuff, cooking, crafts, etc.)
Ta da. Here they are. Super grunge but it's okay.

Fun at the Park

The weather has been so nice around here and we are loving it!
I decided to take Hayes to the park today for his first swinging experience.
He was lovin' it. It was pretty cute.
I tried to take him out of the swing after awhile and he gripped on so tight!
He did not want to be done.  It was a good time!
Also, turns out when you go to the park you instantly become BFF's with all the other "park moms."
I now know a lot of information about people I will probably never see again...
It's kind of weird haha.
Anyway, here are some pictures of the first of many park adventures this spring/summer.
(I know Hayes's shorts are a bit hiked up in the swing haha)

Natural Bridges

While we were in Blanding a few weeks ago, we decided to take the Saturday and go see the Natural Bridges.  I'm not usually big on hiking but it was hardly hiking so I survived :)
It was a fun day. Here are some pictures we took along the way.

10 Months

Hayes is the coolest little guy.  He cracks me up all the time.
This month he....
...found the broom and loves to pretend to sweep.

...discovered the table is a pretty cool fort.
One day he just chilled under there for like 15 minutes.
...threw some (many) tantrums.
...was sick a lot. We both had a cold, then the 24 hour flu, and then another cold.
On this particular day we both took 3 naps.
...crawls all over everything-especially me.  He just goes for it.
He takes no thought as to what may happen as he dives off of things, just lunges full speed ahead.
...likes to feed himself.
Sometimes he is bound and determined to do it by himself and if I try to help him he gets very upset.
It's best to give him finger foods on those days...
...plays peek-a-boo with everything.

Some more random facts about Hayes this month:
- He is such a momma's boy. He wants me to do everything with him. Sometimes he'll be in his walker and come grab my hand because he wants me to come with him around the house.
- He can say Jesus, cheese, and light. (he makes the ta sound for light and points to the light)
-He loves string cheese but will eat pretty much anything we give him.
- He is constantly pointing to where ever he wants to go.
-He cannot sit still! He goes, goes, goes.
It's rare that he will sit and play with his toys for longer than like 5 minutes.

He keeps us on our toes! We love our little man.
