HAPPY HOLIDAYS

We've had a lot going on these past few weeks and we sure have been busy! First of all we found out we're having a little boy! Joe was so excited when we found out- when the nurse said "It's a boy!" he lifted his hands in the air and was like, "YEAH!!" I think the whole office heard... haha. Then I saw a little tear when she was showing us his tiny hands and feet, how cute :) I thought I was supposed to be the emotional one?? I also thought for sure it was a girl before we went in.. so much for mother's intuition lol. But we're super excited- baby preparations are in full swing now and I am loving it!We went to Blanding for Thanksgiving this year and had a nice, relaxing vacation. We got to attend my friend Shea's sealing while we were there, which was really special! Some other activities that filled our weekend were visiting with family, playing in the snow on the mountain, doing crafts at Grandma Webbs, BYU vs. U of U game, and a little game of thanksgiving bingo- which we dominated... but were very humble about...Our 1 year anniversary was on November 28th! It seems like the past year flew by but at the same time like we've been married forever. That doesn't really make sense I know. I'm so happy I found Joe, he's an amazing husband and I can't wait to watch him be an incredible dad.
My mom stayed with us this past week while recovering from her surgery. She was supposed to take it easy but I don't think my mom knows what that means. Joe and I came home to dinners and home made bread all week! Mmm... Not to mention her repainting some furniture and doing other miscellaneous things around the house. I know, I've got a lot to live up to! Hope my kids are that lucky!

Right now Joe is getting anxious for finals to be over next week and to have a little break from school. We're both looking forward to Christmas time and enjoying this busy holiday season!

Happy Birthday Haven!

Ok everyone, I'm going to use Haven's birthday as a good excuse to make my first blog post. Just wanted to let my beautiful, amazing wife know how much I love her and wish her the happiest 21st birthday ever. I am so grateful for her and all that she does for me. I know she will be the most amazing mother to our little boy (fingers crossed)... Let me just say that any child that is born into this family is going to be the luckiest baby ever to have Haven as their mom. I'd like to make a special shout out to Chris and Stacy for raising such an amazing girl. Thanks for passing her off to me. That must have been hard cause I could never pass her back. I love her more and more every day and I know that it will only continue to be that way. Happy birthday love, I hope you had a very special day!

Here are some examples of the crazy faces that Haven makes- one of the reasons I love her so much!

Just Playing

Last week Joe had Thursday off for the holiday, so we decided to go to Park City for the day! We spent a few hours shopping, took a nice little stroll along main street, then went for some delicious dinner.  So nice to have a whole day together.  Saturday we went over to Corey and Chey's to roast some mallows and starbursts over  a fire.  Love me some fire roastin!

I loved how park city was all lit up with Christmas lights. Just makes for a good mood.
It got a little chilly at night.
Corey and Joe were having too much fun burning Corey and Cheyenne's old school books and papers... Crazy boys.

On to more exciting news- we have an appointment to do a gender ultrasound next Tuesday( nov. 23)!! Right before Thanksgiving- yay! Any guesses??? I think my belly just decided it was pregnant today because I think it tripled all of the sudden. ANNDD I have work off the whole week next week for Thanksgiving- whoo hoo! It's gonna be a great week! ( Oh and don't forget to wish me happy birthday this Sunday :))

*HaLlOweEN*

We had a fun Halloween this year and got to spend a lot of time with my siblings. Monday night we carved pumpkins for FHE and had treats. Mmm... pumpkin chocolate chip cookies! Thanks Amanda!
Saturday we had a party at Cody and Amanda's, which was a ton of fun! We had dinner and then started the games. Everyone brought a "Minute to Win It" game and we had a little competition. It was pretty funny! Definitely had some good laughs. Then we watched the Village for our scary Halloween movie- weird movie. Some snapshots of all the games. Including Shad's made up game called spin trey around in the candy bowl. haha

Joe's family also had a little Halloween get together tonight but due to being sick all day I remained on the couch and missed all the fun. :( Overall a pretty great Halloween though. Maybe a few too many treats :/

Baby Andelin!

Yes, you read the title right! We are expecting a little baby! I can hardly believe it myself, but we couldn't be any happier or more excited! I'm 12 weeks along right now so I'm done with the first trimester. Yay... hopefully the second one will be a little easier on me.  I feel like I've had the flu for 2 months! Luckily, I have a wonderful husband who babies me and helps me feel better. Joe is so cute and just wants to do everything he can to make sure I'm okay- and the baby of course. The picture below is what I did to surprise Joe with the news when he got home from work! As soon as we found out it's been all we can do to keep it a secret.

At my first doctor's appointment I got an ultra sound and got to see the little baby. The picture looks like a little gummy bear to me! It was so fun to hear the baby's heartbeat and see how fast it's growing already!  The doctor says the baby looks healthy and everything is fine, which is a great news.
My due date is May 6th! More updates and pictures to come!!

August & September

It's been a little while since I blogged last so I figure I'd do a little update even though life hasn't been terribly eventful.

Joe got a promotion and has been super busy getting some sort of licensing done for work... this is sad that I don't really know what it is exactly! It's called series 6 and something else too.. I don't know what that means.. but he has to take a bunch of tests for it. He's the #1 banker in Utah right now! I'm so proud of him! Apparently we will be going to dinner with some big guys at Wells Fargo, so that should be fun. He's also tackling school classes so it's safe to say he is one busy guy. Oh and he and my brothers (and brooke) and some of their friends hiked Mt. Timpanogos recently. I told him he should blog about it but apparently that was not on his priority list.. the nerve :)

I'm working part time at Buckle and enjoying a lot of free time! Not missing school one bit! I've been thinking up projects and crafts I can do in my spare time.. maybe another quilt? I love my levi quilt I made in high school!

Joe's sister Christine had her baby yesterday! He is adorable- they named him Reid. We're so happy for them! I need to take some pics to post.

Also, we're moving next weekend. It will be a little bittersweet- we have loved our first little apartment! Yesterday was 10 months for us- it's really flown by!

I need a vacation. Not because I'm over worked or anything. I just feel like it's time to take a vacation- even if it's just to Blanding.

Other random things that occupy our time..
..netflix + popcorn
......gym- ughh
...apartment hunting
..making up bedtime songs
.....foot rubs
...baking treats
..game nights with friends and family
...naps!
.....weddings and baby showers
..bbqs
.....LAUNDRY- which I need to be better about getting on a routine, it just never seems like the best option when I think of possible things to do that day.
...ice cream. little side note- joe is the only person i know who loves ice cream as much as i do :)
..Sunday walks to the park to feed the ducks
Anyway, we are looking forward to conference weekend and a lot of exciting things happening in the future! O and I'm really excited for the fall season. It's my favorite.

The Cheesecake Factory

This week all the siblings decided to go to The Cheesecake Factory for a dessert night! Amanda found a sweet deal and we all got a big slice of cheesecake for $1.50 and its usually like 8 bucks! Sweet!! They're so rich though that it's hard to finish even one piece. It was fun to get together!

I told them to pose for a picture.. this is what I got.. Then the debate started on whose arms were bigger. Boys :)

The girls!
Trey especially loved the cheesecake mixed with his bread crumbs haha.
Poor little Carter was sick
I'd also like to add that we missed mom and dad at home! sniff.

Jaw Breakers

It all started with a softball hitting me in the mouth and breaking my jaw... actually that's the whole story. I was running from first to second base and this stupid guy chucked the ball to the second baseman (who probably never played softball before in her life) who totally missed the ball and therefore it hit me square in the jaw.  Luckily I caught it coming out of the corner of my eye and flinched and turned my head a little- otherwise I'd probably have a broken nose and who knows what else... I feel like that'd be worse.  Immediately I had my head between my knees and started spitting tons of blood.  Mmm...  Joe took me to the ER and it took forever to see a doctor.  I thought I was being a baby and didn't need to go to the doctor but Joe insisted. They did a CAT Scan of my face and told me I broke my jaw... awesome. So THEN I had to go see an oral surgeon the next morning and he told me I had 2 options: either have surgery and get a plate put in my chin or have my jaw wired shut for 6-8 weeks. Obviously I went the surgery route.  He admitted me to the hospital like 10 minutes later and told me I couldn't eat or drink for the rest of the day... I was not okay with this news but what could I do.

The doctor informed me the surgery went perfectly. This is a picture of me in the hospital the next morning after the surgery.  My parents came up when they heard I was getting surgery- they think they're so funny bringing me flowers with the "jaw busters" candy in it.  You may not realize it, but I'm actually trying to smile in this pic- I know it's super cute........ ha no.

It has been almost 2 weeks since the incident and I'm doing a lot better!! No more lortab. It was great at first but after awhile it started making me sick. I still can't eat a lot of things. I have had a lot of ice cream, smoothies, soup, pudding etc.  Now I can have soft foods too.

Joe, being the sweet husband that he is, surprised me with new Victoria Secret sweats since I'd be laying around and hanging out at the apartment for quite awhile. Whoo hoo! Don't ask me what this pose is.

In this lovely picture I am showing the crazy braces on my gums. They don't feel very good. I have to keep them on for 6 weeks! I also have stitches on the inside of my mouth from left side of my chin all the way to the the back of the right side of my mouth holding my gums together. Crazy. Thanks to everyone for the well wishes, visits, cards, flowers, and prayers.  Special  thanks to Joe for taking care of me and waiting on me hand and foot :)

Quick Trip

This weekend Joe and I made a quick trip down to Blanding so I could "pass my crown" in the Miss San Juan Pageant. We got there Friday afternoon and hung out until the pageant that night.

The pageant went well and I crowned Kara Redd the new Miss San Juan. After the pageant we came home and decided to roast s'mores on the back patio with mom. It was such a nice night and great to relax!

Saturday, after visiting Grandma & Grandpa Webb and picking a stash of cherries from their cherry tree, we loaded up the jet ski's and headed out to the dam.  Joe got his 360's down on the knee board and mom and I tubed! It was pretty intense- she kept knockin' me off though.

(Joe action shots by Haven)
All and all it was a fun weekend and we are excited to go back down for the 4th of July festivities!

Baby Nurseries?

So lately I have been looking at baby nurseries online. No I am not pregnant I just have this new obsession with  cute baby nurseries!!  I clearly have a little too much time on my hands but seriously they're so cute. There is one set back- they are so expensive! Who knew?! I'll be like 50 before I can afford one of these dream nurseries- and by that time I probably won't be able to have children. Ah well, I'll probably have to sew everything when the time comes haha. On second thought- I'll have Grandma Webb sew everything and it will look just like the pictures! I've started a folder of all the cute nursery items I love so I posted a few of them.

Is this too much to ask??
