Quick Trip

This weekend Joe and I made a quick trip down to Blanding so I could "pass my crown" in the Miss San Juan Pageant. We got there Friday afternoon and hung out until the pageant that night.

The pageant went well and I crowned Kara Redd the new Miss San Juan. After the pageant we came home and decided to roast s'mores on the back patio with mom. It was such a nice night and great to relax!

Saturday, after visiting Grandma & Grandpa Webb and picking a stash of cherries from their cherry tree, we loaded up the jet ski's and headed out to the dam.  Joe got his 360's down on the knee board and mom and I tubed! It was pretty intense- she kept knockin' me off though.

All and all it was a fun weekend and we are excited to go back down for the 4th of July festivities!

Baby Nurseries?

So lately I have been looking at baby nurseries online. No I am not pregnant I just have this new obsession with  cute baby nurseries!!  I clearly have a little too much time on my hands but seriously they're so cute. There is one set back- they are so expensive! Who knew?! I'll be like 50 before I can afford one of these dream nurseries- and by that time I probably won't be able to have children. Ah well, I'll probably have to sew everything when the time comes haha. On second thought- I'll have Grandma Webb sew everything and it will look just like the pictures! I've started a folder of all the cute nursery items I love so I posted a few of them.

Is this too much to ask??

A Little Bit of Everything

Well we've been busy as usual! Recently we took a cruise to Mexico and it was a blast- Joe got a little bit sick for some of it but we still enjoyed ourselves.  We got to go back to one of Joe's mission areas which was a total adventure. First a 2 hour bus ride to this poor little area- then it was some serious culture shock- I could not believe how HOT/HUMID and poor the area was. I could not fathom that people really lived there (especially Joe for 6 months!) It was fun visiting some families although I couldn't understand anything anyone said- but Joe translated for me :) It definitely opened my eyes to get a taste of what his mission was like. So glad to have married such an amazing guy!

Cabo San Lucas!!

Spring term is almost over now. HURRAY! Joe and I are taking advanced english together and that has been kinda fun- well as fun as advanced english gets.  Today we had a friendly in class competition and I think it's safe to say Joe and I are ridiculously competitive.  All for a little piece of candy- we were probably a little loud and forceful in our opinions of what the rules should be and making sure they were followed EXACTLY. Needless to say we smoked everyone. Anyway class is over on the 17 whoooo! Then I'm done :)

Sometimes in english class I secretly take pictures on my laptop

I've been taking a cake decorating class at Michaels and it's been really fun! It's a beginning class so I still have lots to learn but it's going to take a lot of practice and patience to get good... good thing I'm such a patient person...........just ask joe :)

We're still enjoying our newlywed life and making each other happy!

Just relax'n watching movies!
