Best Buds

These two guys love each other! I can already tell they're going to be best buds!

Look, they matched! And not even on purpose........ okay that's a lie. I saw what Joe was wearing and put Hayes in a matching outfit :) I was a little picture happy.
Love them!!!!!!!

End Table Project

I found this old thing on ksl for $15 and I saw some big possibilities.

A little spray paint and a bit of glaze later and TA DA. I have this cute end table for my living room. Thank you Joe for letting me do it- he was skeptical when I explained to him what I wanted to do. :) Turned out pretty cute I think! I'm kind of proud of it.

Little Vacation

Joe went to Lake Powell with his friend Corey's family this last week and so he dropped us off and Hayes and I had our own little vacation in Blanding. Some people acted surprised I "let" him go to Lake Powell without me, but I was perfectly content spending some time in Blanding and just hanging out with my mom and dad most of the week. Mom kept me entertained! We did a little Zumba, made a carseat cover with Laici, had the Johnson girls up for a luncheon, went to a little paparazzi jewelry shop a lady in Blanding does and got some cute stuff, painted some picture frames so I could do a wall collage, and watched a movie or two. Hayes and I really missed Joe though! The week before Joe was pretty sick and so I wouldn't let him really touch Hayes.... I know, so sad.... but I didn't want a sick baby! So when Joe came back from the Lake feeling a lot better, Hayes was happy to play with his daddy again! Before we traveled back to Orem, Joe and I went out to recapture and floated out on the tube to get a little sun. (MUCH needed sun for me) It was so nice, there was only like one other person on the whole lake. So relaxing. Now it's back to the grind- Joe hasn't been to work for awhile because he was sick and then went to Lake Powell and I don't think either of us are ready for him to go back! Ah well, such is life! It was a good break!
Working on our carseat covers at Laici's.
Jacelyn wanted to pretend sew.
Girls luncheon. Look at that delicious cake Ginger made for Amber's birthday!Me and Little Hayes just hanging out.We brought the swing down with us because Hayes just loves to nap in it now!
On our way to recapture to soak up some rays.

Mt. Olympus

While Joe's family was in town him and his brothers (Corey is an honorary bro) decided to take on Mt. Olympus. Apparently it was a lot harder hike than they had expected and they even got rained on at the top! (This is why I don't hike- anyone that knows me well knows I hate hiking) I guess the view at the top makes it all worth it... I think Joe is still walking a bit slower than usual :) Here's some pics Joe captured with his trusty iphone.

Hayes's Blessing Day

We blessed Hayes this last Sunday in sacrament meeting. Joe gave him a beautiful blessing. It was really special to have my dad and all my brothers there and Joe's dad and couple of his brothers in the circle. I'm so grateful for the priesthood holders in our families.

After church Cody and Amanda were gracious enough to let us all come up for a family bbq at their house. It was fun to have both Joe and I's families together.

Joe insisted on these red velvet cupcakes from Costco for dessert. No complaints here, they were yummy!

4th of JULY

We had a fun 4th of July in Blanding this year as usual! We spent time visiting, jet skiing, throwing my dad a surprise 50th birthday party, barbecuing, watching the melodrama (always a treat), watching the parade, eating delicious food, fireworks (hayes didn't really appreciate them much) and relaxing! It was a fabulous weekend!

-Some of these pictures were taken with Joe's iphone due to I forgot my camera :( thanks to Amanda for snapping some shots for me too!

Watching the parade

Hayes all tuckered out after the parade. It was hot!

SURPRISE!!!!
Family outside at dad's suprise partayy (we never know what Hayes is looking at)

Melodrama (ghost chickens..... obviously)

-Thanks Mom & Dad for always planning such fun weekends for us!
